Refund & Cancellation Policy — Shogi Chess AI

Effective date: 1 October 2026

1. What you pay for

Shogi Chess AI is free to use. Pro is an optional subscription, billed monthly or yearly through Razorpay, that raises your daily allowance of AI coaching, game stories, photo readings, voice and full-game reviews. The price is shown on the Pricing page and in the payment window before you pay. Prices are in Indian rupees.

2. Cancelling

You can stop renewing at any time in Settings → Plan → Stop renewing. No email or call is needed.
After you stop renewing, nothing more is charged. You keep Pro until the end of the period you have already paid for, then your account returns to the free plan. Your games, reviews and progress are kept.
Deleting your account also stops renewals straight away.
You can also cancel the UPI Autopay mandate from your UPI app; please stop renewing in Settings as well so our records match.

3. Refunds

First payment: if Pro isn't for you, write to us within 7 days of your first Pro payment and we will refund it in full.
Charged by mistake: if you were charged twice, charged after you stopped renewing, or charged but Pro didn't switch on, we refund the extra or failed charge in full.
Otherwise: renewals already paid are not refunded for the unused part of the period, but you keep Pro until that period ends.
A refunded payment ends the Pro time it paid for.

Refunds go back to the original payment method through Razorpay. Banks usually credit them within 5–7 working days of our approval.

4. How to ask

Write to ravi.sleepnow@gmail.com or utthamchess@gmail.com from the email you sign in with, and include the payment id from your Razorpay receipt if you have it (it starts with pay_). We reply within two working days.
